Name: Byasa crassipes
Family: PAPILIONIDAE
Description:

Byasa crassipes is the rarest species of the genus in Laos.

It is a solitary species. Single individuals can rarely be seen early in the morning and again at the end of the day, like most Troidini species. Females are very rare and will only be seen feeding on flowers inside the forest.

Atrophaneura aidoneus can be seen occasionally on the river banks or on Lantana flowers. It is not uncommon in Nam Kat Yorla Pa.

Both species fly from March until October.
