Description: Delias species are common in montane forests at low to high elevations (Alt. 250 - 1600m) and males are territorial on canopies at 9:00 to 10:30.
Both sexes visit flowers and males frequently come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
They are toxic and are used as a mimetic example by many other species of Butterflies from different families.
The markings on the upperside of both sexes are quite variable, and more subject to seasonal and individual variation than to geographic variation.
Most species can be seen between February and May, and from September through November
