Name: Genus Batocera
Family: CERAMBYCIDAE
Description:

These beetles measure between 52 and 77 mm in length on average. The antennae are longer than the body, extending by a third in Batocera rufomaculata. This genus is characterized by three pairs of walking legs composed of a hip (coxa), a trochanter, a femur and a tibia with a three-part tarsus ending in a bifid nail.

Batocera have long antennae, shaped like interlocking horns, oriented forward when in flight. The elytra cover the abdomen and are spread horizontally when the insect is in flight. They are often spotted, like the thorax. The hindwings are membranous.

Batocera migsominea is an elusive species found in Nam Kat Yorla Pa.

Most species can be observed between April and September.
