Description: Prioneris species are common in montane forests at low to high elevations (Alt. 350 - 1800m).
They seem to mimic Delias species, such as belladonna group and descombesi etc.
Males frequently come to the banks of streams and puddles to suck water.
Ixias are highly variable with individual and seasonal variation and quite hard to distinguish the geographic variation, especially in the Indochina region.
They can be observed from February through May, and from September to November.
